It’s 2 a.m. at Rudy’s. Two men sit in a booth eagerly awaiting her arrival.
"So, she's bringing Clark with her?" asks Wing.
"Yeah, she doesn't want to make the trip on her own. Her first time in the city," responds Him.
"Okay, I'll keep him occupied and let you get to work."
"Perfect, let's not forget, I may be Him, but you’re Wing!"
"Yeah, you’re Himi Hendricks."
“And you’re Wing Crosby.”
"Himmy Neutron," Wing points at Him.
“Buffalo Wild Wing!” Him points back.
"Himiney Cricket."
“The Wedding Winger.”
"Him Shady."
"ErWing Haaland.”
"Chris Himsworth."|
"Patrick E Wing.”
"Jessica Himpson."
"EdWing Scissorhands."
This manages to continue for several more minutes until Marcy walks into the bar. Wing immediately leaps to his feet and implements the Fairy Dust offensive.
"Oh my god hey guys! You must be Marcy! So nice to finally meet you, Him has told me so much about you, don't worry, all good things," says Wing as he gives her a big hug. "And hey Clark! Good to see you again, ahhhh, I'm gonna give you a big hug too!" He hugs Clark.
"Wow you're so friendly," says Marcy.
"Keep your hands where I can see them," adds Him.
"Clark! Let's get a drink, my friend," says Wing as he puts his arm around Clark's shoulders and lightly nudges him to the bar. “I'm thirstier than a camel in the ocean!”
"What?"
"Exactly."
Marcy sits down in the booth with Him. They are already all over each other.
"Him! Where have you been! I've been in New York for two days and I am just seeing you, how?"
"Been busy babe."
"Too busy to see me?"
"It's been a whirlwind."
Over at the bar, Clark can't help but look back at Marcy every chance he gets.
"You see this straw?" asks Wing holding up a straw. "This is the last straw."
Clark can't help but chuckle. Wing finishes his drink.
"Twist my arm Clark, I'll do one more, but then Him and I have to go. It's almost 3 a.m. for Christ's sake."
"It is quite late," replies Clark. He relaxes.
"So how was the concert?" asks Him.
"Eh. One of the guys we went with got a little too touchy-feely with me. If Clark wasn't there, I don't know what I would've done."
"He pulled you away?"
"Yeah. We have this signal where I pull his arm twice if I feel uncomfortable, and he comes and takes me away."
"What?!” says Wing back at the bar. “She's a grown woman, you don't have to babysit her. That's not fair to you!"
"I know, but that's just how it is between us."
"Sounds like you're getting the raw end of the camel."
"What's with you and camels?"
"I've never met one, but I feel like they'd get me. There's an understanding among tall things."
"You're not tugging his arm now," Him says as he puts his hand on Marcy's leg. Marcy pauses.
"I'm not...."
They kiss.
"Woah, would you look at that, totally did not see that coming," says Wing as he looks upon the kissing couple. Clark turns around, he is heartbroken. He turns back.
Wing knows he needs one more gambit to get his horny sidekick over the finish line. He breaks out into song.
"If it's meant to be, it'll be, it'll be, baby just let it be.
If it's meant to be, it'll be, it'll be, baby just let it be.
Now won't you ride with me, ride with me, see where this thing goes?
If it's meant to be it'll be, it'll be, baby just let it be."
"Maybe we do," Clark is sick of Florida Georgia Line but can't help but join in.
"Maybe we don't."
"Maybe we will."
"Maybe we won't."
They sing together.
"If it's meant to be, it'll be, it'll be baby just let it be.
If it's meant to be, it'll be, it'll be, baby just let it be.
Now won't you ride with me, ride with me, see where this thing goes!"
At least five other people have joined in by now.
"If it's meant to be."
"It’ll be."
"It’ll be."
"Baby just let it be."
